Seven Hills Run Training Program - September 12 - December 4
The Seven Hills Run is a challenging, fun and hilly run through Cincinnati's larget hills. This event is not a race but an organized run sponsored by the Cincinnati Recreation Committee. This HealthPlex program helps you prepare for the Run:
- Weekly group runs on Saturdays at 9am
- Weekly yoga for athletes class on Mondays at 5:45pm
- Detailed training schedule
- 10% discount on massage therapy
Participants should be able to walk or run at least 3 miles at the start of the program. Everyone is welcome and new runners are encouraged to join as experienced runners can help pace you through the new experience of distance running.
Cost for Session: $100 for Members, $150 for NonMembers
Zumba Tone - Thursdays at 6:30pm When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba Toning raises the bar (or rather, the toning stick). It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba moves to create a calorie-torching, strength-training dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use light weights, to enhance rhythm and tone all target zones, including arms, abs, glutes and thighs. Zumba Toning is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast. The HealthPlex is the only club within 100 miles to offer Zumba Tone and it's free for Members!
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 - 11amWellPATH is an instructor-monitored exercise program for post cardiac/respiratory patients, diabetic patients or anyone who needs monitored exercise. Cost: FREE for Members, $8 per Visit (purchase in packs of 4, 8 or 12 at the Service Desk)
PLEX KARATE FOR ADULTS
Experience how Karate can change your life for the better. While anyone can teach you how to kick or punch, Sensei Scott Mastin's goal is to make you a champion individual who can excel in all areas of life. He strives to instill focus and courtesy in each student while building confidence and self-esteem in a safe, fun and positive manner. Sensei Scott Mastin has been teaching the art of Matsubayshi (Shorin Ryu) Karate for over 16 years and holds the rank of Yondan (fourth degree black belt).
Karate at the HealthPlex is a full-scale progressive Karate program with participants earning colored tips and belts. If you have ever wanted to try Karate, we invite you to try a class for free! If you once were a student of Karate, this program is great for you to again train in the Japanese martial arts.
