Ashiatsu Oriental Bar TherapyTM
Affectionately coined "the deepest, most luxurious massage on the planet," Ashiatsu is a Western adaptation of ancient Eastern forms of barefoot massage. Using clean, soft feet, the therapist glides over your lubricated skin with beautifully choreographed strokes to create a consistent, luxurious, deep tissue massage. Parallel bars overhead are used for the therapist’s balance and control while you relax on a massage table throughout the session. This gravity assisted technique delves deeply into those chronic muscle aches with compression and broad, flowing push pull movements to gently but effectively relieve pain and improve posture and vitality.
Thai Massage Therapy
This form of bodywork is believed to have been developed in the Ayurvedic ways of India. It then made it’s way to Thailand where it was influenced by traditional Chinese medicine. Thai massage therapy involves stretching, compressing acupressure points and joint mobilization. This form of bodywork is usually performed on a floor mat, while you wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are used in Thai massage. The therapist guides you through a series of yoga postures while palming and thumbing along the body's energy lines and pressures points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically.
